A huge fan of Jane Austen, Danielle hopes to find her own Mr. Darcy when she leaves Colorado to attend art school in London. Of course she knows it's silly to wish for that, naive even. But she's met enough males who lacked respect for women, a growing trend it seemed. And at nineteen...well.... However, on only her second night there she gets lost and is threatened by a stalker who proves to be immune to her martial arts training. Before she is completely overpowered, she is then saved by Ethan Deveroux.

While Danielle does find the romance she seeks in Ethan, he's no Mr. Darcy. Her hero is held by a spell which fractures their chance at a happy ending. During the day Ethan is closer to mortal than immortal and can date her like any other man. Yet, as the sun sets, the powerful magic of an ancient curse returns and the evil of that spell is revealed. When that magic begins, Danielle's fairytale romance ends because Ethan Deveroux is a vampire.

I Just Read Another Book Along With the Other One!

Sup peoples, I read another book today and I still need to do a review for another book. I also might do a review about Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan. One more thing, I just bought a book so I will just talk about it first.

So, I just bought a book (with money I actually earned) and I can't stand to read it! I just stare at it in awe making sure no one touches it. It's my precious.... To make it simple and so you don't feel like ripping your hair out, the book is:
Crave by Melissa Darnell- Paperback- Available since October 25th at $9.99. Bloodlust. Magic. Forbidden Secrets. The Clann. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11164626-crave
Here's the cover!Crave Here's the summary too- Savannah Colbert has never known why she's so hated by the kids of the Clann. Nor can she deny her instinct to get close to Clann golden boy Tristan Coleman. Especially when she recovers from a strange illness and the attraction becomes nearly irresistible. It's as if he's a magnet, pulling her gaze, her thoughts, even her dreams. Her family has warned her to have nothing to do with him, or any members of the Clann. But when Tristan is suddenly everywhere she goes, Savannah fears she's destined to fail.
For years, Tristan has been forbidden to even speak to Savannah Colbert. Then Savannah disappears from school for a week and comes back... different, and suddenly he can't stay away. Boys seem intoxicated just from looking at her. His own family becomes stricter than ever. And Tristan has to fight his own urge to protect her, to be near her no matter the consequences.

Okay, here's my actual review of a book I read.
Seizure by Kathy Reich's- Hardcover- Avail at $16.99 at B@N . http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8709640-seizure%20 Seizure

Summary:
Ever since Tory Brennan and her friends rescued Cooper, a kidnapped wolf pup with a rare strain of canine parvovirus, they've turned from regular kids into a crime-solving pack! But now the very place that brought them together - the Loggerhead Island Research Institute - is out of funding and will have to shut down. That is, unless the Virals can figure out a way to save it!
So when Tory learns of an old Charleston legend about a famous she-pirate, Anne Bonney
Oooh, this sounded soooo good! I mean, the pirate treasure sounded kind of stupid, but once you got into this book, it sounded so exciting and invigorating! I give this book a 5/5 because the story line kept me guessing after every page. I had no idea what would happen next! The book cover also shows what I thought the characters looked like and demonstrated their personalities very well. Shelton and Hi and everyone else was absolutely hilarious. I loved their banter! Also, the dog DNA was totally awesome and I could actually understand what they were talking about. A girl pirate is what the world definitely needs.
One thing that kind of annoyed and fascinated me was how it kept you guessing with the treasure, still not saying any spoilers. Such a great mystery!!!!!!!!!!! Read Virals before this as this is a sequel after all. Superpower lovers, Maximum Ride lovers, and basically anyone, come and read this book!

The next book is called Shadow Hills by Anastasia Hopcus. I'll do this review either today or tomorrow. I still have to do my post: Waiting for On Wednesday. Too much to do, so little time!!!

I Just Read Two Books!

Hey peoples, I finished two books yesterday and it was too late and I was too lazy to write them so here I am. First up is The False Princess!
The False PrincessThe False Princess
Which cover do you like the best?

The False Princess- Eilis O'Neal- Hardcover- Avail- $16.99- 319 pages.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6760761-the-false-princess#
I give this book.... 5/5 stars!!!!
Princess and heir to the throne of Thorvaldor, Nalia's led a privileged life at court. But everything changes when it's revealed, just after her sixteenth birthday, that she is a false princess, a stand-in for the real Nalia, who has been hidden away for her protection. Cast out with little more than the clothes on her back, the girl now called Sinda must leave behind the city, her best friend, Kiernan, and the only life she has ever known.
Sent to live with her only surviving relative, Sinda proves inept at even the simplest tasks. Then she discovers that long-suppressed, dangerous magic runs through her veins, and she realizes that she will never learn to be just a simple village girl.
Sinda returns to the city to seek answers. Instead, she rediscovers the boy who refused to forsake her, and uncovers a secret that could change the course of Thorvaldor's history forever.
Okay, I loved this book! It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! I didn't know the surprise ending at all though I am definitely not revealing anything here. This book came out in January, but I'm surprised that I didn't find this book before now. Though I found the plot and all the characters to be slightly confusing. Just a little too many twists and turns revolving all the "false princesses". Also, the romance in the story was, of course, easy to predict leading you to basically know the ending of the book before you even got to the climax of the story. The government is fairly easy to understand as well as the medieval world Nalia or Sinda lives in.
So many things were unexpected making this such a fascinating read. One thing though, I just have to express my opinion. Okay, getting run out of your home after having your whole life built out of a lie! That is just, ugh, wrong! Jeez, they could have at least have given something to Sinda, but nooooo, they just left her out in the poor world. She could have died for being a princess and no one would have ever known she was innocent. And what about Sinda's real father? His only daughter being ripped out of his arms? I hate that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This book made me think about that kind of stuff and made me really relate to this character. All in all, I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The next review will be up later! Don't expect much from me, I don't have time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Teaser Tuesday!

It's the start of a new Tuesday with Teaser Tuesday! This was started by shouldbereading.wordpress.com. Basically, I will write a teaser sentence from a book I'm reading to make it sound REALLY interesting and that you will want to read it. Along with that, I'm going to do something original (started by me) where I will make up my own one sentence summary of what a book's summary is about. I'll make it sound short and sweet, but also REALLY interesting. Does that sound confusing? Well, I'll use books that have already come out or books I'm just dying for. Hope you enjoy and like this teaser Tuesday.

Seizure Okay, first off, teaser sentence from a random page of the book I'm reading. The book is: Seizure by Kathy Reichs. It is the sequel to Virals which you should definitely read before this one.
"Twin metal spikes had swung down from the ceiling, one in front, the other from behind, their deadly points meeting like monstrous points." Interested yet? Well, here's another teaser from the same page.
"Eyes glued to an impaled corpse." Page 218. Sound scary or what? Makes you want to find out what happens next, doesn't it? Read the book and find out! I am not revealing any spoilers here!!!! Note: If you like the Maximum Ride series (oh man, I'm in love with Fang), you will absolutely LOVE this! Read it!

Next on the list, one sentence summaries of my own creation based on the few paragraphs usually found on the inside cover or the back of a book.
The Pledge (The Pledge, #1)First off: The Pledge by Kimberly Derting. Out on November 15th, 2011. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10637748-the-pledge
In a world where different languages were disguised as classes to shield the terrible secrets hidden within, what if you could understand the horrors and beauties of them all?
Descended by Blood (A Vampire Born Trilogy, #1)What about...Descended by Blood- Angeline Kace. Out since August 26th, 2011.  http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12260236-descended-by-blood
Vampires do anything to survive, to drink the blood of not so innocent humans, so much that one may kidnap a human named Brooke trapping her in a web of lies just to feed upon her throat. How about one more since this is a new project after all.
Mortal Kiss (Mortal Kiss, #1)Mortal Kiss- Alice Moss- Out since January 28th, 2011. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9942081-mortal-kiss
Winter is here to stay, approaching fast as danger erupts through the form of a dead body somehow connected to the Black Dogs, a mysterious gang of teens more than they appear, and no one knows what will happen on the freezing cold Halloween night. How does this idea sound? Is it working for ya? Well, it doesn't have to stick, just trying to be different. If you don't like it, too bad! I'm staying with it because to me, it's an awesome idea, and I think it will help me find interest in these books. Hopefully, ya'll like it. You never know because.......
It will be back!!!

I Just Read a Book!

I like the cover, it tells you what the book is about in the interesting cover though I do like the other one better. Which do you like the best?
Well, I just read another book (I have a goal to read one book everyday, good for getting ARC's, hint, hint) and it was okay, kinda meh and and kinda interesting. Well, here it is!
The Glass Swallow by Julia Golding- Rain has a secret that threatens her whole world.
Hardcover- $17.99. Companion novel to Dragonfly. (note: you do not have to read Dragonfly to read this book. I didn't even know it was a companion book until I finished this book. I didn't notice anything that would have been mentioned before in the other book except the last two pages or something. Still, reading Dragonfly might help you understand this book more.
Blurb- Rain designs exquisite stained glass for the windows of her city. But the law is clear: it is forbidden for girls to be a part of the glassmaker's guild. To keep her secret hidden, Rain leaves home and travels to a strange new country. Her trip becomes a nightmare when bandits attack and she is abandoned to a society on the brink of disaster. To survive, she must discover new strengths in herself and seek out the other people that this society has scorned, including a young falconer who is one of the "untouchables."
I give this book 3/5 stars.
The beginning was boring with all this society and politic talk with all kinds of stupid rules. I mean, seriously, who isn't allowed to touch a dog because they think it's dirty? Hello, dogs have cleaner tongues than people! Besides the beginning being boring, there was absolutely no build up for the romance inside the novel. There was nothing, no spark, no nothing with Rain's feelings, she barely knew the guy (no spoilers here), but then she was suddenly in love with him.
This book left off for a couple of months before settling in after awhile which is disappointing when you don't know what happened in that short amount of time skipped in the book. Also, the women have no rights at all which freaking annoys me! Power to the women, guess who has been getting higher grades? Yeah, women. In the end of the book, it states "ten months later". I hate when books say that! I like to create my own happy ending of the future without the author telling me what is going to happen! Jeez, it's like when movies give you characters so unlike what you imagined the characters to be in your mind (especially when the guy was hot in your mind and definitely not in the movie).
Yeah, so if you like all that politic talk and a little romance strewn in around the government talk, this book would be for you. I'm not trying to be picky, but I would still like to read Julia Golding's companion novel, Dragonfly. Who knows, maybe it will be better than this one. Don't judge an author by just one book.

I Just Read a Book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Faerie Ring by Kiki Hamilton
Prince, pauper, and thief-all must work together to secure the treaty...
4/5
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars!
Description:
The year is 1871, and Tiki has been making a home for herself and her family of orphans in a deserted hideaway adjoining Charing Cross Station in central London. Their only means of survival is by picking pockets. One December night, Tiki steals a ring and sets off a chain of events that could lead to all-out war with the Fey. For the ring belongs to Queen Victoria, and it binds the rulers of England and the realm of Faerie to peace. With the ring missing, a rebel group of faeries hopes to break the treaty with dark magic and blood- Tiki's blood.
Unbeknowst to Tiki, she is being watched-and protected- by Rieker, a fellow thief who suspects she is involved with the disappearance of the ring. Rieker has secrets of his own, and Tiki is not all that she appears to be. Her very own existence haunts Prince Leopold, the queen's son, who is driven to know more about the mysterious mark that encircles her wrist.
This book is avaiable in hardcover at $17.99

Okay, this book was set in good ol' England and this book had a lot of suspence and never ending secrets hidden deep within. I am in love with mysterious marks on people so this was right up my alley along with faeries and forbidden love. I do believe Leo should have had a bigger part in the story and that the book wasn't as rushed as it was. The ending didn't seem terribly forfilling, now did it? Also, more romance! There can never be too much romance! If there was a sequel to this book, I would definitely get it! I can feel a sequel coming in. Team Rieker is awesome though I didn't like his alter ego if you know what I mean. Too much of a happy ending though, there should be something, a little oomph, to make you want the sequel. All in all, such a good read! Get it! But it! Buy me one if you want to!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not bad for my first review, huh?

Welcoming Myself

Hello world! My name is Nikki and I would like to start reviewing young adult books to share to the world. Honestly, I love reading books as much as some people say (though not enough) and I want to share my love to everyone! I would like to start off with just reviewing the books I'm reading right now. That mainly includes YA paranormal romance, or just plain old fiction. I will like to try some random things as well like book cover loving, books I would die to read, and in my mailbox that started from the blog The Story Siren (my favorite blog ever). Also, I might like to try to win some Advance Readers Copies (ARC's) hint, hint. So yeah, hope you enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S- Please excuse my perfect grammer (unless there's a mistake). I hate when people mispell everything. If there is a mistake, don't point it out!
